The agreement was signed in the presence of Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, and Gholamali Soleimani, CEO of Solico Food and Industrial Group. The project follows bilateral agreements between the two countries and is part of the cooperation framework established during the President of Iran’s visit to Kazakhstan in December 2025.
Under the agreement, the new dairy complex will be developed in Almaty Region, with an annual production capacity of 155,000 tons of cheese. The project represents an estimated investment of 35.2 billion Kazakhstani tenge, equivalent to approximately USD 72 million, with construction already underway. The facility is scheduled to become operational in 2029.
In addition to expanding Kazakhstan’s dairy processing capacity, the project is expected to create at least 400 direct jobs. Technology transfer, training for local specialists, and the introduction of modern production technologies are also key components of the investment.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Aidarbek Saparov, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, highlighted attracting strategic investors to the agricultural processing sector as one of the government’s priorities and described the project as an important step in the development of Kazakhstan’s dairy industry.
As part of its social responsibility commitments, Solico has also pledged to allocate approximately 50 million Kazakhstani tenge annually from 2028 to 2038 to support local communities and implement social and development initiatives in the region.
Once operational, the complex is expected to become one of Kazakhstan’s major milk processing and cheese manufacturing projects. It is also expected to contribute to the development of the local dairy supply chain, increase demand for domestically produced raw materials, advance dairy processing technologies, and support the country’s food security.
The investment in Kazakhstan is part of Solico’s broader strategy to expand its international presence, strengthen regional partnerships, and share its food industry expertise and production capabilities across target markets.
